Ever Wish for a Safe, Secure Place to “Grow” Your Dreams?

I’m not talking about wishful thinking, an unexpected inheritance, or winning the lottery.  I’m talking about the deep, important “I-was-meant to-do-this” dreams and ideas that don’t go away, no matter how hard you try to ignore them.

I’m also talking about that nagging sense of incompleteness–or that longing– an awareness that you were meant to do more than you are doing now, even if you can’t quite envision what it is you are being called to do.

You know the most important things in life need time and space to grow so you aren’t looking for magic beans– or even Miracle-Gro.  Dreams like yours are sacred.  They cannot be hurried.  You are ready and willing to nurture them as they develop at their own pace.

And yet, sometimes it’s hard to know how to best nurture a precious dream so it can sprout and take on a life of its own.  Are you pushing too hard or not hard enough?  Does your seed bed need fertilization?  Does your idea need more sunlight and less water–or less sunlight and more water?

Then there is the isolation.  As the caretaker of a world-changing dream, you know what it’s like to be dismissed as “crazy,” “impractical,” or “silly.”  It’s hard to keep going in the face of that sort of dismissal; no wonder you’ve learned to keep your dreams hidden from a cynical public.

But what if there was another option?

What if there was a safe place you could take your ideas to grow?  A place filled with other like-minded people who were also protecting a fragile “idea” seedling?  Even better, what if this place had all the tools and support you needed to help you grow your precious seed dreams into the strong, self-sustaining realities they are destined to be?

Welcome to the Low Hanging Fruit (LHF) Greenhouse

  • Each week you’ll get a new lesson from me in one of the four core areas of the greenhouse: protection, support, nourishment, or growth.  Sometimes those lessons will be based on a book we’ll read together, an MP3 audio lesson I’ve produced, or a leader-guided video chat.  For some topics, I’ll also provide guest lecturers who will offer us fresh angles.
  • We’ll have regular Q&A calls so we can dig into the issues facing your project and help you apply the concepts we’ve been working on directly to your work.
  • You’ll get first dibs on my consulting time–and you’ll get an amazing rate.  Greenhouse members can hire me as a coach or consultant for just $30 per hour. (My usual hourly rate is $70)
  • You’ll have access to a tight-knit online community of fellow members, opportunities to brainstorm solutions, places to trade advice and experience, possibilities for finding potential partners, and support for each other’s work.  No matter how, or where, you get stuck, the community and I will be there to help protect your idea and get you back on the path towards growth.

What Will I Find Inside?

Protection

Baby plants need a greenhouse because they aren’t strong enough to withstand the harsh weather of the outside world.  The same goes for your dream projects.  By protecting your seedling ideas and providing them a warm, safe place to start their life, you help ensure they grow big enough to stand up to the trials and tribulations of the real world.

In order to give your ideas the protection they need, the LHF greenhouse includes:

  • Private space where you can talk about your idea with compassionate and caring people who know what it takes for seedling ideas to grow, since they are caring for ideas of their own.
  • Flexibility to introduce your idea to the world at a pace that works for you.  Once inside the greenhouse you will be able to share your idea with all of the other greenhouse members via the forums, or if you need additional privacy, you can create a custom group which can  be accessed only by you and your most trusted friends.

Support

Tall plants grow best where they have a structure to support them.  The same is true for big ideas  (and the people who have them).  The greenhouse will support you and your ideas by:

  • Providing a place to let your hair down and rest when the world is difficult.  In here, you don’t have to be the strong one.
  • Building a community full of smart, kindhearted people who want you to succeed.  When you are out of ideas, you can bet there will be someone in the greenhouse ready to lend a helping hand.
  • Giving you easy and direct access to me.  Supporting the projects of greenhouse members will be my main focus, so when you have a question, you can expect to hear from me right away.

Nourishment

You are the soil from which your dreams pull nutrients.  If you are not well nourished, your dreams will suffer.  Therefore, the greenhouse will provide the nourishment–or fertilizer, if you love a metaphor– you need to continue to feed your dream.  That nourishment comes in the form of:

  • Encouragement when you start to feel discouraged.
  • Tools for learning to make self-doubt work in your favor.
  • Soul-fueling books, connections and conversations that help you remember why you chose this path in the first place.

Care

Just like plants need sun, water, pruning, and weeding to grow strong, your dream project also requires different kinds of care as it grows from a seed into a sustainable plant.  Therefore, the greenhouse includes:

  • Instruction, ideas, and support on how to use social media tools to grow your ideas.
  • A new network of friends to help promote your project (once you decide it’s time to spread the word).
  • Troubleshooting  and encouragement when you get stuck or your dream starts to look a little wilty.
  • Reduced-rate,one-on-one support from Maureen when you need hands on, personal assistance.

Who Should Join?

Artists and Creatives

The LHF Greenhouse is primarily a place for artists and creatives to work on their projects and help each other grow.  You will find

  • inspiration when you are out of fresh ideas,
  • kindred spirits when you feel isolated,
  • collaborators for your most ambitious plans,
  • honest and gentle feedback to help you take your work to the next level,
  • and tools and resources to help you find your right audience when it’s time to share your work with the world.

Note:  If you insist you are not an artist, but spend a great deal of time with creative people, secretly wishing you were more like them, you may be a blocked artist.  If that’s the case, the LHF Greenhouse may help you find your creative flow.

Change Agents

Whether you work with an existing nonprofit organization or are forging your own path toward a brighter future, the greenhouse will help keep you motivated and feed you creative ideas for connecting with the people you most want to reach.  Who knows– you may also find a fellow traveler or two ready and willing to join your cause.

People in Transition

If you are about to retire, rejoin the workforce, or are dreaming of quitting your job, but don’t know what you want to do next, the greenhouse will provide fertile soil for figuring out what your next adventure should be.  It will also be a great place to meet people who can help you make sure the journey is a fruitful one.
